Claudia

Always look forward, never backwards.

Claudia is a chef and barista, I met her one night at the bar where she worked at that time.

You seem to be quite a joyful person to me. What makes you happy?
Know that I have 2 wonderful sons, I live a life full of friends, accompanied by good and bad people, a life full of experiences… hmm… what else?…It makes me happy to get up every day and to know that I have the boys by my side who give me a kiss and say to me „I love you very much, Mommy“. Then.. my work. Health.

How old are your kids?
Raphael is 10 years old, Angelo is 3 years old. It makes me happy that they are independent. Raphael surfs, he just won the first prize in the tournament of… what´s the name?… I don´t remember, but it is really good. He practically grew up in the water. When he was 2 years old he went surfing with his dad, and with 3 1/2 years of age he got his first surfboard.
My 2 kids are the most important thing in my life an the fundamental basis for me to get up in the morning, to face the bad things, to see the good things, to work and to do everything. That´s what matters the most. The rest… is just a bit of patience, patience… a little smile and… nothing else.

Is there somebody who was or who is really important to your life, who was a big influence, a role model?
My dad. But he died 2 years ago. Everything I am and part of my life I owe to him and my mom.

In which way did he have a big influence on you?
Well… I am a mother of 2 and I am independent, a single mother… I don´t depend on anybody. This I owe to my mom and dad. I am a strong character, which I also owe to them. It might me a little bit of everything. I don´t have a problem with the difficulties to start something new because I never say „I cannot“, they always showed me that „Yes, yes you can“.
Neither more nor less, that´s my life. Notwithstanding the most beautiful thing is to know that you have friends. I am 27 years old, but I have a lot of experience, a little bit of this, a little bit of that… I have gone to other countries, I have gotten to know different cultures, and that elates me.

If you could send a message to the entire world, what would you say?
That despite all the problems, all the trepidation and necessities you must not stress out and say „no, I can´t“. You must always say „Yes, I can“ and look ahead, never backwards nor sidewards.
